Fetch The Broom

about

Wrote the music & lyrics separately. I never do that.

lyrics

Quick, fetch the broom! I'm beginning to fall apart.
I fear I might end up everywhere.
It's starting. Yes, I think it's about to start
So please fetch the broom from somewhere.

And while I'm waiting for that first piece to fall
I bite my lip and hope it won't shatter
I know you know it's not like me at all
But sometimes I'm porcelain inside here

I meant it when I said we'd better find the dustpan
I'm tumbling down piece by piece
My shoulder blades are running so very fast away
They're jumping ship. They know it's hopeless.

And soon all of me will be lying there
Down on the hardwood
But I don't want anyone to see
So please fetch the broom if you could.
